Mixed Dal / Pulses

What can you have your rice with? Last time we prepared Boiled Rice and it goes along fine with some pulses. And making it is very easy.

What you need: 1 tablespoon moong dal
1 tablespoon masoor dal
1 tablespoon urad dal
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
2 tomatoes, chopped
1 onion, chopped
1 teaspoon chopped green chillies
1 teaspoon chopped ginger
1/2 teaspoon chilli powder
2 tablespoons chopped coriander
2 tablespoons butter
Salt to taste

Method
Put all the pulses together in 2 cups of pre-heated water in a big glass bowl and soak for 30 minutes.
Add salt and turmeric powder. Cover and microwave at 100 % for 15 minutes or until cooked.
Put butter in another glass bowl and microwave at 100 % for about 30 seconds.
Add cumin seeds and fry for 30 seconds by microwaving at 100 %.
Add tomatoes, onion, green chillies, ginger, chilli powder, coriander, cooked pulses and salt and microwave at 100 % for 3 minutes.
