Let’s start with boiled rice – a basic and staple food for Indians.
All you need: 250 gms of Basmati rice
2 cups of water
Soak the rice for half an hour, then drain the water.
Transfer to a microwave safe casserole / dish, add 2 cups of water.
Cook at 100% for 10 minutes.
Then cook for a further 6 minutes at 60%.
Allow to stand for 5 minutes before serving hot.
